TADAM’s terms are two years long. Currently TADAM has only 31 members and only 26 are eligible to be considered for being in TADAM’s Board of Directors. One has to be an active member for one year to be eligible for the TADAM’s Board of Directors. We would like to increase our membership and be a better functional organization. If you receive a membership form with your newsletters, that means your membership is either due or has expired. According to the bylaws, the current Board of Directors can continue for an additional 2 years if they are nominated and elected in January 2009. The current Board Members would like to continue an additional two years if they are elected by the members. If you would like to be active in TADAM’s Board or any of TADAM’s committees, please let us know. TADAM is very open to suggestions and ideas in serving physicians, dentists and the Turkish Community. The ballots will be sent to active members in January, 2009 and their response is expected by the first week of February, 2009. For children, we will have Strawberry the Clown as entertainment. Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be served. Facilitate networking among Turkish physicians in the Midwest Region and enhance the communication between Turkish physicians and Physician Organizations in the U.S. 2. Promote collaboration in the fields of medical education, research, practice and policy development between academic institutions and professional medical organizations located in the U.S. and Turkey. 3- Develop a comprehensive information resource for Turkish physicians on regulations that govern medical training and practice both in the U.S. and Turkey. 4- Promote scientific interaction and nurture excellence in the medical profession to serve the professional needs and support the career goals of its members. 5- Serve the social needs of TADAM members and their families, as well as act as a cultural bridge between the U.S. and Turkey. 6- Promote the health status of the Turkish-American community in the Midwest	TADAM’S SECOND ANNUAL MYSTIC BLUE CRUISE: August 9, 2008 – Saturday Mystic Blue Cruise: Dine. Dance. Drink. Let your hair down. The setting is laid-back yet contemporary. The service is great. The view is amazing. Imagine the beautiful Chicago skyline as it reaches for miles North and South with the lake resting at its feet. The firework display will also add an exciting flavor to the evening.
